I am super excited to have been asked to run a jewellery making workshop for the Southbank Center in London on December 10th. I will be speaking a bit about what I have been up to so far and how I design and make my Doodllery. Everyone will then get to make customisable character necklace, brooch and pair of earrings.
My fairytale bag range is definitely one of my favourite that I have done. The main reason being that I was able to draw loads of funny characters from some of my favourite fairy tails. I have already posted all of the patterns and so here is how the bags look.
My favourite items are the Red Riding hood handbag and wallet, the Gingerbread man satchel and the Hansel and Gretal mini house bag. I tried to include cute little features on the bags as well as the patterns – so they all have things on them like little printed zip pulls, plush printed charms and a printed fairy tail lining. Everything has been selling really well on Little Moose and we have had lots of great feedback about them. The Snow White mirror has also been featured in a few magazines which is great!

I have neglected my blog for too long now and feel it needs some desperate care and attention. The last year has been jam packed with doodling, jewellery making, handbag designing, a few fantastic holidays and acquiring a new brother for my cat Lily called Bert.
I have also been working on Little Moose – the online shop that I run with my husband, James. We sell lots of lovely jewellery and accessories from quirky brands as well as independent designers. We also sell lots of the bags that I have designed as well as our own jewellery range.
From now on I’ll keep my blog updated with all of my upcoming events and creativity!
Oh and Happy halloween..booooo.
I am excited to tell you about a new feature that we are starting at Little Moose. As a way to get people involved in drawing and doodling we are starting our own Doodle Club. Every Monday we will be announcing a title for everyone to interpret and create things in their own way. It doesn’t matter how good you are and whether you take it in a silly or serious way we would love to see your creations. Once you have your doodle you can take a photograph of it and upload it to your Facebook or Twitter and tag Little Moose in it. You’ll need to ‘like’ Little Moose on Facebook to tag us and if you’re on Twitter, use the hashtag #lmdoodleclub or ‘@’ reply Little Moose in so we can find it.
Don’t forget to spread the word and help get as many people doodling as you can each week!
I was super excited to get started on a new bag range which I wanted to base around fairy tales. It is the perfect range for me as it involved drawing lots of cute characters that appear in some of my favourite stories. I really enjoyed reading the stories again and thinking about what I thought the characters should look like and what other cute and funny things I could include in the patterns. The final patterns I drew were Red Riding Hood, The Gingerbread Man, Thumbelina, Snow White , Jack and The Beanstalk and Hansel and Gretal. The bags turned out looking so cute and I can’t wait to start selling them (and use them myself!)
My final range is called Once Upon a Time and here are all of the doodled patterns. I’ll show you the bags in the next few weeks which you will of course be able to buy from my online shop Little Moose.
